From Resonance to Bonding
Dirk Beckedorf & Franz Müller
Our book “From Resonance to Bonding”, has now been published in its 2nd edition. One of our aims in writing this book was to present Systemic Listening Therapy in today’s scientific context. We recommend this book to anyone interested in reading a comprehensive and well-founded resource. It was recently translated into English.
If you are interested in reading something well-founded, this book is recommended. In the meantime, it has been published in English.
From the foreword:
How does listening to Mozart symphonies change a child’s willingness to open up and connect? And why do these sounds of Mozart enable babies to calm down and feel their bodies better? How do hearing and listening reach the human heart?
This book by Dirk Beckedorf and Franz Müller answers many of these questions. They very clearly and systematically explain the psychosomatic foundations of human hearing as well as the history, areas of application and practice of systemic listening therapy.
The strength of the book lies in the way that it builds bridges. The authors succeed in making the topic of human hearing pertinent in the discussions of modern attachment and brain research. Through this interdisciplinary approach, the consideration of the ear and the associated auditory functions takes on an unexpected importance.
“I am convinced that this book will create many new connections. Practitioners in the areas of body, trauma, child and adolescent psychotherapy should find it just as enriching as affected parents who experience listening therapy together with their children.” (Thomas Harms)
